Japan 2001

Abe-san's Ebishima Farm House

The soba noodles are cooked quickly in a large pot of boiling water. A souce is prepared for dipping the noodles just before eating and various condiments, e.g. wasabi, chopped green onion, etc., are prepared to add to the sauce as desired.

Here is the fruit plate that Naomi prepared. Notice that the tomato I won at Yamaga has been included..

Abe-san is dropping the soba noodles into a pot of boiling water.

Make sure they all get in.

Mrs. Abe is helping to rinse the cooked soba noodles

Ahhh, here they come. Tsukiko and Yoshiko are watching Mrs. Abe serve up the first basket of soba noodles.

Naomi and Tsukiko are enjoying the second batch of soba noodles; the ones with the bamboo charcoal powder in them. Can you notice the grey color of the noodles.

We enjoyed the rest of the dinner and afterwards some more socializing and entertainment.-           pnext.gif
