Tsumago
Steve, Masako, Michie and Yoshiko are sitting in front of the Minshuku where we spent the night in Tsumago. The name of the Minshuku is in Kanji on the front door and on the parasol. |
The Minshuku is a very old building but the conveniences inside have been modernized. In fact, the toilet had an electronic control panel on the wall with some 30 buttons encoded in Japanese Kanji and brail on them. I didn't know what any of them did so I didn't try them. |
After a hot bath and dinner the ladies are preparing for bed. |
Four futons were spread on the floor of our 6 tatami mat room |
Yoshiko is serving the rice at breakfast. |
Michie is waiting to begin breakfast. At home she usually has a continental style breakfast. |
Steve manages to sit on the floor through the entire meal. |
Michie is enjoying her miso soup. |
