 Kimura-san is sitting by the fire. Heat to the farm house was by this fire and a wood burning stove located nearby. No central heating. Abe-san made the charcoal himself in a hillside kiln. |
 A pot has been added over the fire to cook some daikon. We had cooked daikon (the large Japanese radish) with some of Abe-san's home made miso. Abe-san and Kazuo-san enjoy making miso together. |
