Tsumago

We strolled up and down the streets of Tsumago. The town is on a hill and parts of the street are not paved. It was nice this early in the morning since there were not yet many tourists. Later in the day this would change dramtically.

Many of the buildings were disigned to haf small shops in the front. The family would live in the rest of the building.

This building was open for all to see.

Inside we see the central room with the fire pit. The front room was probably used as a store.

From the street we could see through the entire building.

This store front is a sake shop.
