This place looked interesting for lunch so we stepped inside. The eave over the entrance is a good example of sarugashira - "monkey heads" securing the roof together. If a thief tries to enter the 2nd story by way of this roof, the roof will just fall apart beneath him. Such roofs were everywhere in town. |
