The heart mountain story has been assembled and published in a book by Mamoru Inouye who spent the war years in the internment camp at Heart Mountain, Wyoming. Mr. Inouye purchased the Heart Mountain photograph collection of Life photographer Hansel Mieth and used them as a basis to tell the story of Heart Mountain from 1942 to 1945. The book contains some 40 plus photographs taken by the professional photographers Hansel Mieth and Otto Hagel.
